ABOUT FOODLABS

FoodLabs (FL) is a venture capital fund and venture studio based in Berlin backing companies with the mission to solve human and planetary health through food innovation. We’ve backed some of the pioneers in the food-tech industry such as Gorillas, Formo, Infarm, and Mushlabs.

In our Venture Studio, we are consistently identifying new opportunities to change the food landscape in Europe together with the most daring entrepreneurs and scientists. FoodLabs ventures have already attracted follow-on funding from leading VC funds including Coatue, Green Oaks Capital, DST Global, Creandum, EQT, and Lowercarbon Capital.

We are currently looking for a Commercial Co-founder (m/f/x) to join our stellar Scientific Founder to build a venture in the alternative protein space.

Job requirements

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Strong entrepreneurial drive

  • The toolkit to ideate, build, launch and scale a successful company

  • Hands-on attitude and willingness to take on various tasks inside and outside your field of expertise

  • You pair daily resilience daily with the ambition to build something generational

  • Exceptional business strategy and project management skills. An initial experience in venture capital, startups, or consulting is ideal but not a must.

  • You have first experience in managing and scaling a high-performing team and are a strong leader with outstanding people management skills

  • A passion for food, health, nutrition, and sustainability

  • Academic background in the fields of Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Food Science, Computational and Systems Biology, or related disciplines are of advantage; but not a must

  • You are fluent in English (C2) in oral and written communication. German proficiency is a plus.
