Job description

Carbon Farmed is a portfolio company of Atlantic Food Labs with the mission of building a scalable platform for farmers to become climate positive “carbon farmers”. Traditional farming practices are a key contributor to climate change, all the while the instruments for change are already here - they just need to be made financially and technically accessible to farmers. After investing time and effort into building a visionary business case we are now looking for a Co-Founder & COO to transform our ideas into a technical reality.

 

Whom we are looking for

As Co-founder & COO (m/f/x) you will be working at eye-level with your other Co-Founder(s) and are passionate about translating a vision of climate-positive farming into efficiency and scalable operations and project management. You are responsible for defining our operational roadmap and growing our B2B partnerships (farmers and/or FMCG retail) and business development strategies. You will lead all efforts to bring and retain our farmers’ network on our mobile-first platform that enables farmers to access everything they need to integrate carbon farming practices.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Developing a company vision with the Co-Founder(s), translate it into an operational roadmap to land first partnerships and farmer clients
  • Owning the entire business development/sales operations definition and execution
  • Building up top-notch internal processes that enable a smooth customers journey in an app business
  • Continuously evaluate customer and market feedback and improve our operations accordingly
  • Setting and monitoring KPIs and operations budgets to assess our sales performance
  • Communicating our operational strategy and product to partners and investors

Requirements

What you need to succeed in this role

  • Min. 5 years of experience in a fast-paced operations role
  • Min. 2 years of experience in an early-stage startup
  • Background in Agriculture or FMCG Sales is a strong plus
  • Excellent track record in (sales) operations and customer success processes
  • Experience with project and customer management tools, incl. CRM and building processes from scratch
  • A drive and passion to build up your own business as much as processes and KPIs
  • An analytical mindset and data-based decision-making approach
  • A strong problem-solving attitude and the motivation to grow and continuously make us better
