Your Role & Responsibilities

• Responsibility for finance and fund operations together with a small finance team

• Develop and implement effective strategies for monitoring and managing an international portfolio of over 100 tech companies

• Structure new funds and diverse (co-)investment vehicles, manage due diligence, and legal processes.

• Maintain relationships with the fund investors and provide insightful investor quarterly reporting.

• Ensure compliance with finance, operational, and legal standards to maintain integrity and transparency in fund operations. Oversee comprehensive audits of all direct investment and management funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards

• Carefully plan the fund investment allocations and operational budgets

• Actively drive portfolio development and returns together with the investment managers, developing and exploring strategic exit options for mature portfolio companies

• Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and professional growth.

What You Need to Succeed

• You’re an experienced Finance Manager. You have seen different types of activities in the areas of Venture Capital, Private Equity, Investment Banking, or Audit. Experience with tech or startups is a plus.

• You are used to communicating on an excellent level, both on macro as well as on detailed levels.

• You combine your strong numbers game with business acumen and startup founder empathy across company stages but also understand the needs of investors as well.

• You understand the dynamics underlying the relationships between the different stakeholders

• You enjoy an ambiguous, at times fast-moving work environment, but are equally content operating in a steadier state managing long-term projects and ongoing work.

• You’re able to work as a respected, outspoken peer to our Managing Partners, and with gravitas when collaborating with fund investors and the wider VC/tech ecosystem.

• You conduct yourself with ethics, integrity, maturity, and kindness. Being honest, transparent, and conscientious is just who you are.

• You probably have high expectations of yourself and are keen and able to take responsibility for your personal and professional development.

• Fluency in German (C1) and English (C1) is a must.
