Head of Growth (m/f/x) @ D2C Health Venture

United Kingdom, , LondonPortfolio Company

Job description

myota are on a mission to prevent and reverse the 1 billion cases of chronic disease that exist globally. Founded by a team of leading microbiome researchers and fibre fermentation experts, we are at the cutting edge of innovation in the gut-health field.

Leveraging our own proprietary research (conducted at Cambridge, MIT, and the University of Geneva), we have created the world’s first precision fibre mixes, that can help not only reduce the symptoms and incidences of chronic disease but also promote overall physical and mental health.

We are backed by world-class investors and in beta as of January 2022, so this is an exciting opportunity to join myota from the very start of our journey.

We are looking for somebody to form an integral part of our founding team by building out and owning, our Growth function. While the science behind myota has been in development for a decade, our D2C business is brand new, so you will be instrumental in helping us to deliver on our ambitious plans for the coming year (and beyond!). This means working closely with the CCO to develop our marketing strategy, and owning metrics across customer acquisition, retention and engagement. You will have full autonomy in how to deploy our Marketing budget and will be expected to optimize performance by using best-in-class tools and frameworks to quickly test, learn and iterate on our channel mix.

Most importantly though, you will be someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the world. We truly believe that myota has the potential not only to define a category but help millions of people across the globe live longer, healthier lives. As a founding member of the myota team, you will play a critical role in helping to turn that vision into reality.

  • Owning and developing our overall growth & marketing strategy, devising and implementing a wide range of data-led acquisition and retention campaigns.

  • Responsible for the performance of all paid and owned channels, while continually experimenting with new online & offline acquisition strategies.

  • Optimizing the use of our marketing budget, and providing regular reporting on key metrics such as CAC, LTV, & churn across all channels.

  • Managing the relationships with our performance marketing and creative agencies, providing direction, and ensuring performance across KPIs.

  • Using data to analyze customer and market trends and behavior, and leveraging these insights to create and implement successful new growth strategies.

  • Ensuring that the myota brand is delivering a consistent experience across all online & offline customer touch-points.

  • Creating a best-in-class growth function, including the hiring and training of new personnel.

  • Able to demonstrate a consistent track record of driving growth across a blend of channels, managing budgets effectively, and improving key metrics (CAC, LTV)

  • An expert in using data to evaluate and optimise marketing and growth strategies, design and run experiments, and interpret results.

  • Experienced (and interested) in brand building (preferably at a D2C company), with a passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience.

  • Creatively minded, and constantly thinking up new ideas to test out.

  • An entrepreneurial spirit, who is happy to roll up their sleeves and get involved in all aspects of the business (when needed).
