ABOUT THE VENTURE
alpakas is on a mission to prove that grocery delivery can be done sustainably. We are zero-waste, organic, local - and we are just getting started. We are live in Berlin but will expand quickly in Germany. We combine sustainability and practicality to address one of the biggest waste problems of our time: plastic packaging. To achieve zero waste, we use our own system of reusable refill-glasses (“Pfand”) and work with suppliers who believe in the same mission. We want to make it easy to re-connect to the local producers and are proud to work with many of them already <3

As our Head of Marketing, you make our service shine! You lead a interdisciplinary and diverse team and build out the alpakas community, by telling new potential customers about us and helping our customers make the sustainable choice, every day. We trust you to build and foster a loyal fanbase for our product and find the right channels to tell the world about us - online and offline, performance, pr and brand. In this role you must be a true generalist and happy to build - its always Day 1 at alpakas.

In this role, you’ll get to:
Lead our growing marketing team
Prioritize and plan our marketing campaigns on all ad platforms and channels to achieve customer growth and retention.
Continually shape messaging on each of our relevant platforms to scale Alpakas in Berlin and multiple other cities in Germany - all with a keen eye on our marketing budget and ROI.
Work closely with product, category management, and ops to build a unified experience across the online and offline touchpoints we have
Plus, you get to talk about wonderful food and the amazing humans behind it every day! Occasional alpakas puns and GIFs are allowed as well
We are looking for people who have...
5+ years of hands-on experience
Leadership experience in/of a marketing team
In-depth knowledge of building and communicating a scalable consumer brand.
Deep understanding of managing and scaling paid campaigns (Paid Social, Paid Search, Display, etc).
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Fluent in German and English.
Organizational superstar with a hands-on mentality.
