Job description

ABOUT

At Again we put CO₂ to good use. Our novel, bio-manufacturing process combines natural, gas-eating bacteria, with cutting-edge technology to turn CO₂ into carbon-negative chemicals. We have figured out how to collect the unavoidable carbon outputs from industry and reuse them to manufacture emission-free chemicals - a win-win for everyone.

Our first-of-a-kind carbon-negative manufacturing facility is already live, operating at a commercial scale, converting real-world emissions into emission-free products for our end customers. To support our journey, we have raised over €50m in funding from venture capital investors and in grant funding to date.

THE ROLE

We are looking for an incredibly well-organized scientific generalist to work alongside our founders as a Technical Chief of Staff. You will be working closely with the CEO and supporting them in their leadership roles, whilst owning strategic initiatives that are key to Again’s next stage of growth. If you have an interest in a career managing scientific teams and developing your competencies in business and operations, this is the role for you.

  • Developing, and implementing high-impact scientific projects across our R&D and commercialization efforts
  • Oversee and organize our scientific projects in our strain development and fermentation teams together with our CEO
  • Designing projects related to carbon capture and utilization, in conjunction with our emission partners and other key stakeholders
  • Engagement with external stakeholders, including the board, strategic partners and potential investors
  • Assist in the development and protection of Again’s intellectual property.
  • Provide general assistance to our CEO in the running of Again – no task is too big or too small!

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • At least 2 years of work experience (start-up or technical management consulting experience is a plus)
  • Strong academic background (STEM degrees preferred)
  • Analytical mind and proficiency in Excel + PowerPoint
  • High agency – willing to roll up your sleeves to get sh*t done
  • Passionate about solving the climate crisis

WHAT WE OFFER

  • You get to work with a group of passionate scientists, working on challenging and meaningful projects
  • This will be the journey of a lifetime – we are serious about our mission to reduce over 1 gigaton of CO₂ and you can play a pivotal role in making that happen
  • An inclusive, empowering and engaging work environment.
  • We understand that relocating can be a hassle, so if you don't live in Denmark, we will help out to give you a smooth transition

If you have questions regarding the role, we would love to hear from you. Feel free to reach out at careers@again.bio. We look forward to hearing from you.
